Design and Reliability: The HUADA CDb-37T belongs to the 37T series, which features a 3/4” (19mm) bimetal disc temperature control design by Therm-O-Disc. This series is known for its proven reliability and moisture-resistant sealed construction.
The bimetal disc provides snap-action, ensuring high-speed contact separation. This results in excellent life cycle characteristics even at electrical loads of up to 10 amps at 120VAC and 5 amps at 250VAC.
The sealed design enhances moisture resistance, making it suitable for environments prone to moisture.
Mounting Configurations and Flexibility: The 37T offers maximum design flexibility through various mounting configurations, lead wires, and terminations.
You can choose from different mounting options: No Mounting Bracket: The 37T can be specified without a mounting bracket. It comes with a polyethylene cap or a phenolic centerpost that can be used for custom brackets. The phenolic centerpost can be tailored to unique requirements.
Surface Mounting: In this configuration, the sensing element is positioned firmly against the surface to be monitored.
Switch Actions: The 37T is available in two switch actions: Automatic Reset SPST: The switch can either open or close its electrical contacts on temperature rise. Once the temperature returns to the specified reset level, the contacts automatically revert to their original state. This design is commonly used for refrigeration defrost termination and ice cube maker control.
Automatic Reset SPDT: Similar to SPST but with an auxiliary contact. It makes a circuit upon opening the main contacts and breaks the circuit when the main contacts reset. This design allows switching between different electrical ratings.
